Rogue One proves you don’t need much lightsaber action at all to make a standout Star Wars movie. Star Wars Rogue One is another film for wide-eyed, nerdy Star Wars fans. This week, we also had news from Lucasfilm. This has led to a few odd choices, like the 2016 sequel to The Adventures of Milo and Otis, which critics called “tonally baffling” and “supposed to be about a puppy and kitten, why?” It’s worked out slightly better for The Force Awakens and Rogue One. One more trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released on Thanksgiving Day, paired with the news that tickets will be going on sale on Monday. This evidently changed in 2015 however, and now every movie must relate in some way to the construction or destruction of a Death Star. Lots of people were OK with this it meant we got movies like The Godfather, Point Break, and The Stoned Age. The film takes place right before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, and it tracks a rogue group of rebels who come together tasked with stealing plans to a massive weapon dubbed the Death Star. For years, most movies that came out were not about the Death Star.
